Galveston LNG is a privately owned Canadian energy development company capitalized with private and major institutional Canadian and US investors. Galveston is focused on international opportunities within the LNG industry and has projects located in Western Canada, West Africa, Australia and the Middle East. The Galveston companies create a synergistic approach to liquefying, originating, trading and storing of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for its own projects and for third-parties worldwide.
Galveston LNG, through its wholly owned subsidiary LNG IMPEL, is developing a variety of international LNG projects including a marketing and trading platform, LNG storage, and mid-sized natural gas liquefaction. Production from the liquefaction projects will be sold to third-party end-use markets.
A major link in the LNG value chain owned by Galveston is its Kitimat LNG liquefaction terminal located on the west coast of North America. This terminal provides LNG buyers access to the growing natural gas supply in Western Canada. Kitimat LNG provides the best access to an existing network of natural gas pipelines, gas storage and the vast and transparent gas market located in Western Canada.
As a private and independent company Galveston LNG provides opportunities within the LNG space to pursue additional projects associated with LNG storage, shipping and trading.
