OUR STRATEGY
Galveston LNG is a pure play LNG infrastructure company dedicated to the development of LNG projects worldwide. The company is focused on developing assets in the following areas:

  • Liquefaction – We are looking to develop liquefaction opportunities to monetize reserves for direct sales to third parties.

  • Storage -  Galveston has embarked on the development of LNG storage in the Middle East that will enhance trading and liquidity of LNG world-wide.  This location will allow customers to engage in time and location arbitrages.

Global Portfolio of Projects
The LNG industry is experiencing unparalleled growth and is expected to continue at above average rates for the foreseeable future. With the growing global gas market, Galveston has strategically located its projects to take advantage of the growing demand for LNG in both the Pacific and Atlantic markets.

Project Integration
Galveston LNG is developing several concurrent projects around the world to allow it to take advantage of LNG opportunities in both the Atlantic and Pacific basins. This will also give us the option to move LNG volumes to third parties, to storage or to trade volumes. Our multi terminal strategy offers geographic and market diversity.

All projects are designed on a toll for service basis.  All projects will have 15 to 20 year contracts that will underpin the long term nature of the financing. Long-term contracts will be held by highly rated creditworthy counterparties and will generate a steady, predictable stream of contracted fee payments with no commodity price risk. In addition, we may periodically sell capacity to third parties or purchase, regasify, and sell cargoes of LNG as opportunities arise. Potential counterparties include: LNG suppliers, natural gas traders, local distribution/utilities and large industrials.

West Coast First Mover Advantage
The Kitimat LNG Terminal is the only proposed liquefaction terminal on the west coast of Canada and the U.S. The unique physical location of the Kitimat Terminal site allows for short shipping times to Asia and reduced marine costs (no dredging or breakwater required) for the loading jetty. Kitimat LNG will be the first operational LNG terminal in this area and will be able to complete construction at very competitive rates.

The Kitimat Terminal provides users of the terminal with access to growing natural gas reserves in Western Canada through existing gas pipelines.
